A fisherman was plucked from the sea by Dunbar lifeboat crew after his fishing boat sank on 1 July. The man had radioed to say his boat was taking on water rapidly about 4 miles South East of Torness.
This is a reconstruction of the rescue that earned Dunbar RNLI lifeboat coxswain Gary Fairbairn a Bronze Medal for Gallantry at the charity's Annual Presentation of Awards 2010.
A creel fishing boat with a tangled propeller was helped by Dunbar lifeboat. One crew member was transferred onto the boat to help with the tow rope and towed it to Dunbar Harbour.

Dunbar ILB Jimmy Miff was launched at 14:19 after Forth Coastguard received reports of a number of people stranded at 'The Gegan' (Seacliff). The ILB quickly arrived on scene and recovered 2 adults and 3 children, all were safely landed at Seacliff beach. *
