Dunbar's inshore lifeboat, the 'Jimmy miff', was tasked by Aberdeen coastguard this morning when Police Scotland reported a person who was threatening to enter the water at Belhaven beach.
The volunteer crew quickly launched the inshore lifeboat into the water and proceeded towards the location. Once on scene the crew could not see anyone on the beach or in the water so started a search of the whole bay. During the search Aberdeen coastguard contacted the boat by VHF informing them that casualty had been detained by Police Scotland.
The lifeboat was stood down and returned to station where it was refuelled and made ready for service.
