ILB launched to fishing vessel in difficulties

Dunbar's inshore lifeboat launched this evening at 19:32 when a local fishing vessel got into difficulty just north of Dunbar harbour. The fishing vessel Boy Owen had lost all battery power and was adrift, unable to start her engine.  The lifeboat made contact with the skipper off the vessel and transferred one crew member aboard to prepare to tow the vessel back into the harbour.  Upon reaching the harbour, the lifeboat assisted the vessel back into her berth and stood by while the skipper secured the vessel, prior to returning to station and being made ready for service.

Later Event: August 17
