Dunbar RNLI volunteer crew have twice come to the rescue of two yachts with mechanical trouble.
Dunbar’s D class inshore lifeboat (ILB) Jimmy Miff was launched at 4pm Sunday to assist a vessel with gearbox problems near the town’s harbour. The volunteer crew towed the boat back to Dunbar Harbour and helped it to a mooring within an hour of the alarm being raised.
It was the second such callout in three days. On Friday (June 3) the volunteer crew went to the aide of another yacht stranded without power when its engine failed five miles east of Bass Rock at 12.15pm.
Crew: Alan Blair, Gordon kirkham, Gary Crowe, Christopher Woodss.
