Last Night at 23:47 Dunbar's all weather lifeboat was paged by Aberdeen Coastguard after they received a call from Ambulance control to reports of casualty who had fallen at the Cove Harbour.
Reports came through that a casualty had fallen in the area of the Cove Harbour. Once the Dunbar crew had assembled at the station they made their 6 mile journey to Torness harbour. St Abbs Lifeboat was also tasked along with Dunbar Coastguard team, Eyemouth Coastguard team and an ambulance. Once both coastguard teams were on scene they were able to make contact with casualty and carry them out safely on a stretcher to the awaiting ambulance with no need for any lifeboats. The crew from Dunbar had managed to get along side the ALB just as they were stood down. This was safe and quick response time from the Dunbar volunteer crew in just under fifteen minutes.
