This years Dunbar Lifeboat Queen Ashley Fairbairn visited the station on Friday evening along with her attendants Jenna Peters & Aimee Morrison, they were also joined by Herald Lee Courtney & flower girl Rosa Lavery.
This inspection comes ahead of Ashley's coronation at the RNLI Lifeboat Fete in Dunbar Harbour on July 18th. Ashley was introduced to full time coxswain Gary Fairbairn, along with crew from our all weather lifeboat and inshore lifeboat. Dunbar's ILB (Jimmy Miff) was alongside the station for Ashley to inspect and have a look around.
Dunbar's Lifeboat Fete this year has a special display from Rescue 177 from HMS Gannet ( picture above ) along with both Dunbar's Lifeboats ( service calls permitted ). You will be able to see how we transfer casualties from boat to helicopter. This year our annual gala day will be held on Saturday 18th of July. Bring along the kids for a fun family day out. Watch the High Street parade starting at 1.15pm and join in the fun on the harbour side from 1.30pm
